APEM's LPI series pushbutton switches, with their large actuator surface and light actuation force, are designed to be compliant to the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). This product is well-suited for various indoor applications where the push-button needs to be located quickly. Typical applications include door access controls and personnel lifts. This product is also ideal for applications where the end-user wears gloves. This series features the largest actuator and lowest behind-panel depth within the APEM switch range. The LPI has been developed on a modular base to fit the exact needs of technicians and end-users. More than 300,000 combinations are possible.
For technicians, this pushbutton is available in two output versions, for front or rear mounting: a 5 A NO/NC version and a 0.05 A NO version. The low behind-panel depth allows installation in environments where space is critical. For end-users, many different actuator types are available: raised crimped, raised molded, raised screen printed, without symbol, and screen printed. The large actuator surface allows a visible marking and a large symbol height. Dot or ring LED illumination is also available. Due to its large actuator, this series is ideal for all applications where the pushbutton needs to be located quickly. Complying with the requirements of the EN81-70 standard (from Disability Discrimination Act), it allows disabled persons to access lifts and buildings easily.
