Infineon PROFET™ Smart High-Side Switches are placed between the supply and load to control the application. These highly integrated high-side switches incorporate a broad range of smart features like diagnosis and protection. PROFET switches consist of a DMOS power transistor and CMOS logic circuitry for complete built-in protection against overload, short-circuit, excessive temperature, ground loss, power supply loss, and electrostatic discharge (ESD). The PROFET family of devices is also capable of protecting against dynamic overvoltage, such as load dump and inductive load turn-off. BTS Series Smart High-Side Power Switches
Infineon Technologies BTS Series Smart High-Side Power Switches are a N-channel vertical power MOSFETs with charge pump, ground referenced CMOS compatible input and diagnostic feedback, monolithically integrated in Smart SIPMOS® technology. These BTS Series Smart High-Side Power Switches offer fast demagnetization of inductive loads, stable behavior at under voltage, wide operating temperature range and logic ground independent from load ground. Infineon Technologies' BTS Series Smart High-Side Power Switches also offer protection functions like short circuit, overload, current limitation, thermal shutdown, over voltage (with external resistor), reverse battery (with external resistor) and electrostatic discharge (ESD). Applications for the BTS Series Smart High-Side Switches include high-side power switches, all types of resistive, inductive and capacitive loads, loads with high in-rush currents and can replace electromechanical relays, fuses and discrete circuits.
