They provide an industry-leading combination of high efficiency, small footprint, and low noise performance in an integrated product. Intel PowerSoC DC-DC converters are ideal for enterprise server, storage, communications, industrial, and test and measurement applications. Intel engineers their power technologies—high-frequency switching, magnetics, and packaging — into complete power system-on-chip products. Unlike discrete power products, these turnkey solutions give designers fully simulated, characterized, and production qualified power systems.

EP5348UI 400mA Synchronous Buck Converters: Intel EP5348UI 400mA Synchronous Buck Converters deliver the optimal trade-off between footprint and efficiency. It is an ideal replacement for less efficient LDOs in space-constrained applications that require improved efficiency. Intel EP5348UI Synchronous Buck Converter is a 400mA PowerSoC which integrates MOSFET switches, control, compensation, and the magnetics in a micro-QFN package. This highly integrated DC/DC solution offers up to 46-points better efficiency than comparable LDOs. Intel EP5348UI achieves improved thermals and a significant reduction in power loss, and it also enables extended battery life and helps meet Energy Star requirements. This EP5348UI 400mA Synchronous Buck ConverterEval Board is designed to offer a wide range of engineering evaluation capabilities. It comes populated with four pre-placed resistors and a jumper to choose one of four preset output voltages. Easy jumpers are provided for the Enable and VOUT selection signals. Numerous test points are provided as well as clip leads for input and output connections. The Intel EP5348UI Eval Board also comes with input decoupling and input reverse polarity protection to protect the device from common setup mishaps.
