Infineon Technologies iMOTION™ IMC100 High-Performance Motor Control ICs integrate the hardware and algorithm for a Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor (PMSM). The IMC100 ICs control variable speed drives and provide a short time to market for motor systems at a low system and development cost. Infineon's patented and field-proven Motion Control Engine (MCE) implements Field Oriented Control (FOC). This is achieved using single or leg shunt current feedback and uses space vector PWM with sinusoidal signals to attain high-energy efficiency.
