Z8523Lxx ESCC: The Zilog Z8523Lxx Enhanced Serial Communications Controller (ESCC) family supports dual channel and multiple protocols that easily interface to 8/16-bit addressable non-multiplexed address/data buses. The Zilog Z8523Lxx ESCC includes on-chip features such as baud rate generators, digital PLLs, and crystal oscillators that reduce external logic. This Zilog Enhanced Serial Communications Controller provides a migration to a 3.3V supply voltage for designers currently using a 5V solution. The Z8523Lxx ESCC family can also be added easily to low supply voltage based designs.
