MC9S08MP16 8-bit Microcontroller: The Freescale Semiconductor MC9S08MP16 8-bit microcontroller (MCU) family provides a safe, accurate, and cost-optimized solution for a range of brushless DC (BLDC) motor control applications from industrial drives to automotive fuel pumps. The Freescale Semiconductor MC9S08MP16 MCU family features multiple high-speed analog comparators and a powerful 8-channel FlexTimer PWM module that provide protection against over-current conditions by enabling fast and accurate motor shutdown. This Freescale Semiconductor MCU also includes an independently clocked Watchdog/COP and Cyclic Redundancy Check (CRC) Engine deliver clock failure protection and memory content validation. The MC9S08MP16 offers a strong peripheral set with a Programmable Gain Amplifier, a 13-channel 12-bit ADC with PWM hardware triggering, and multiple analog comparators.
