The AM335x microprocessors, based on the ARM Cortex-A8 processor, are enhanced with image, graphics processing, peripherals and industrial interface options such as EtherCAT and PROFIBUS. The devices support high-level operating systems (HLOS). Processor SDK Linux® and TI-RTOS are available free of charge from TI.

The microprocessor unit (MPU) subsystem is based on the ARM Cortex-A8 processor and the PowerVR SGX™ Graphics Accelerator subsystem provides 3D graphics acceleration to support display and gaming effects.

The PRU-ICSS is separate from the ARM core, allowing independent operation and clocking for greater efficiency and flexibility. The PRU-ICSS enables additional peripheral interfaces and real-time protocols such as EtherCAT, PROFINET, EtherNet/IP, PROFIBUS, Ethernet Powerlink, Sercos, and others. Additionally, the programmable nature of the PRU-ICSS, along with its access to pins, events and all system-on-chip (SoC) resources, provides flexibility in implementing fast, real-time responses, specialized data handling operations, custom peripheral interfaces, and in offloading tasks from the other processor cores of SoC.

AM335x ARM® Cortex™-A8 MPUs
OMO Electronic AM335x ARM® Cortex™-A8 Microprocessors are highly integrated MPUs based on the Cortex-A8 processor that deliver high DMIPs at a low cost while also delivering optional 3D graphics acceleration and key peripherals. These TI Cortex-A8 MPUs include industrial interface options, such as EtherCAT and PROFIBUS, and can support the Linux® and Android™ high-level operating systems. The combination of graphics and connectivity support makes TI AM335x MPUs ideal for portable navigation systems, handheld gaming devices, education, and home/building automation solutions.
AM3358 Sitara 1GHz ARM Cortex-8 Microprocessors
OMO Electronic AM3358 Sitara 1GHz ARM Cortex-8 Microprocessors are based on an ARM Cortex-8 32-Bit RISC processor. This processor has a frequency of 600/800/1000MHz, a MIPS of 1200/1600/2000, and a 3D graphics accelerator (PowerVR SGX™) designed to support display and gaming effects. This processor features 2 controller-area networks (CANs), dual-core programmable real-time units (PRUs), and comes in a compact 15.0x15.0mm 324-pin package. These devices are enhanced with image, graphics processing, peripherals and industrial interface options such as EtherCAT and PROFIBUS. The devices support high-level operating systems (HLOS). Processor SDK Linux® and TI-RTOS are available free of charge from TI. This processor is featured in the Beaglebone Black and Beaglebone Green single board computers.

OMO Electronic Sitara Arm Cortex™-A Processors integrate Arm Cortex-A cores with flexible peripherals and connectivity. The system is optimized with rich peripheral set for a wide set of applications from sensors to servers. The user is able to connect and control a wide set of devices and sensors on the system with a cornucopia of peripherals. These devices offer multimedia options from simple displays to high-performance HMIs with 3D graphics and HD video. They protect your IP and investment with secure boot and crypto and offer out-of-the-box support for Wi-Fi connectivity with WiLink™ 8.
