CUI Inc’s isolated DC-DC converter family is designed to deliver improved efficiency, isolation, and thermal performance. The unregulated PDS1-M and PDS2-M series are packaged in a compact 8-pin or 10-pin SMT package, measuring as small as 12.7 x 8.3 x 7.25 mm (0.50 x 0.33 x 0.29 in). The modules feature 1.5 kV DC I/O isolation and anti-static protection up to 8 kV DC. The series is designed with an ultra-wide operating temperature range of -40~105°C, offering a reliable solution for converting and/or isolating DC rails within a variety of industrial, telecom, security, and machine control applications.

The series provides nominal inputs of 5, 12, 15, and 24 V_DC and a range of single- and dual-outputs. The DC-DC converters are highly efficient compared to other products in their class, delivering typical efficiencies up to 86%. To further enhance performance across the entire load curve, the modules have been designed to greatly reduce power draw under light and no load conditions. The new family of DC-DC converters also comes standard with continuous short-circuit protection, providing an additional layer of protection for sensitive loads.
