NXP Semiconductors' Layerscape LS1012A, LS1043A, and LS1088A provide a wide range of sizes and performance options based on Arm Cortex-A53 core. The LS1012A processor, optimized for battery-backed or USB-powered, space-constrained networking and IoT applications, integrates a single Arm Cortex-A53 core running up to 1 GHz with a hardware packet forwarding engine and high-speed interfaces to deliver line-rate networking performance in an ultra-small size envelope at 1 W typical power dissipation.
The LS1043A deliver greater than 10 Gbps of performance in a flexible I/O package supporting fanless designs. This SoC is a purpose-built solution for small form-factor networking and industrial applications with BOM optimizations for economic low layer PCB, lower cost power supply and single clock design.
The LS1088A has the advanced, high-performance data path and network peripheral interfaces required for wireless access points, networking infrastructure, intelligent edge access, including virtual customer premise equipment (vCPE) and high-performance industrial applications.
